This site contains a number of low-resolution and/or deliberately blurred Tarot card images which are not suitable for commercial reproduction. Although these images are copyrighted material, they fall under the "Fair Use" provision of copyrighted works because of the following:
1.) They are used for comment and teaching purposes;
2.) No more than a small percentage of any particular deck is used; and
3.) Their potential market value is not harmed. In fact, their display will serve as free advertising and most likely increase the value of Tarot decks featured here.
In addition, such images are found on innumerable web sites with no mention of special permissions. This indicates that Tarot deck publishers accept use of their images on most Tarot sites as "Fair Use." Any publisher or artist who feels this site's use of their images does not fall under the legal "Fair Use" provisions, please contact info@readtarot.com for our policy on verification of your identity and complaint. After a complaint is identified as legitimate, any items from your particular deck(s) can be removed and replaced with images from more amicable artists' Tarot decks.
