The Fool
Card 0 or 22 - The Fool

Card Nicknames: The Fool card is usually just referred to as the Fool, although it could be called an experience, journey, or traveler card.

Short meaning: The fool card usually represents someone taking a journey, learning through life experiences. The card can represent an experienced or inexperienced person (before or after the journey), and so context is typically drawn from other cards.

Full meaning: The Fool represents a traveler either before or after his journey through the Major Arcana. This gives the card two very different possible interpretations. The first represents an inexperienced person before his journey, the second a mature person.

The inexperienced Fool could indicate a new beginning or cycle is ahead, perhaps an important choice or decision, which the subject will enter with faith and trust, optimism, or a lack of understanding. It can also represent a naive, immature, idealistic, or extravagant person.

The experienced Fool can represent someone who has reached a higher degree of consciousness and wisdom. He may also represent an important choice ahead with a need for wisdom in making the best decision.

The Fool Reversed
A reversed Fool card may indicate an indifferent, immature, irresponsible, or reckless individual. It can also represent fear of success or advancement.
